By 2015, Poor Man’s Game Notes had been rolling since 2012 and was starting to pick up real steam — we even moved onto a professional email host. On the field, though, it was a year Dawg fans won’t soon forget. A rainy rout by Alabama in Athens signaled trouble, Nick Chubb’s devastating injury in Knoxville darkened the season, and the surprise Faton Bauta start in Jacksonville went nowhere fast. By the time Georgia Southern pushed us to overtime in Sanford Stadium, the Mark Richt era was all but over. Within weeks, Richt was out, and Kirby Smart was in — a seismic change for the program.
